HOW LONG WILL A PROVIDER ON DEMAND VISIT TAKE?
Typical encounters last less than 20 minutes depending on the medical complaint. There is no time limit on encounters and our providers are happy to address all of your medical needs.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MEDICATIONS?
POD providers are licensed medical professionals who will evaluate whether you require a prescription. You may be given a written prescription or electronic prescription may be sent to the pharmacy of your choosing. In the future we hope to be able to provide on-site pharmacy services at our POD locations.
WILL THIS VISIT BE IN PERSON OR A VIRTUAL VISIT?
YES! Provider on Demand blends the best parts of telemedicine with the necessary human touch required for a physical exam. Our team uses advanced technology to equip our medical providers with all of the exams and testing they need to give you the best healthcare experience possible. You will meet virtually with your provider who will be assisted by an on-site technician to help perform the physical exam and guide you through the POD experience.
ARE PODS HYGIENIC?
Absolutely! Our sanitation procedures are second to none and include hospital grade HEPA filtered air, Ultraviolet light sterilization, and disinfection after every patient encounter. Our team adheres to strict safety and sanitation protocol to ensure everyone’s safety.
DOES PROVIDER ON DEMAND OFFER LAB TESTING?
Our PODs are equipped to handle basic laboratory testing that may be relevant to your healthcare needs. This includes limited blood testing, COVID, flu, and strep testing. Results of these tests are usually provided during your encounter. If further tests are deemed necessary by the provider, you will be given instructions for next steps.
HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY PROVIDER IS QUALIFIED?
Provider on Demand only employs state licensed and board-certified providers. Our on-site technicians are extensively trained to assist our providers and give the highest quality, compassionate care.
