At High Schools
Screening and preventing disease are most effective at the community level. High school students are particularly vulnerable to the lack of healthcare access. Managing injuries and common high school problems such as asthma, allergies, epilepsy, and diabetes are now possible onsite and are no longer dependent on the schedule of working parents.
With a POD on campus, students have an increased awareness of confidential services with the ability to use these services. Students can address concerns such as anxiety, depression, nutrition and diet, as well as sexual activity and birth control all within a safe and private area located on the campus.
Making Mental Health a priority
We have a growing need for mental health resources everywhere. Mental health must be a priority. Early diagnosis and appropriate services for children and their families can make a difference.
POD is the solution by offering easy access to mental health professionals, who can offer screening, services, referrals, and even treatment.
POD delivers the capability of high quality care that is accessible, private and unlimited for our children’s educational institutions. This unprecedented approach is safe and effective and may change the outcome of a young person’s life.
